Deliberate Feedback

Deliberate Feedback

Recently I was interviewed by Rita Cincotta for her fabulous podcast, The Deliberate Leader.

During the interview, Rita asked:

‘What do you see are the essential qualities and characteristics of deliberate leadership when it comes to feedback?’

My response:

  • Connection

  • Compassion and care

  • Confidence and courage

Before you start a feedback conversation:

  1. Start by focussing on your connection with that person.

  2. Step into compassion and care for that person.

  3. Have the confidence and courage to engage in the feedback conversation.

The Warm-Up conversation of the Feedback Fitness Framework is a perfect opportunity for you to build trust and connection with your team members.  It’s a chance to demonstrate your support, empathy and listening skills.
